Job role

The focus of the position is planning, coordinating and monitoring all logistics and supply related activities for the offices of the organization in Russia and Belarus.


  • Implementation and maintenance of an appropriate supply chain for the organization in Russia and Belarus
  • Be aware of the regulations related to purchasing, importing, storing, transporting, donating and/or providing medical drugs, medical equipment and medical devices in the Russian Federation and Belarus, as well as pharmaceutical license related issues. Working with legal advisors on the issues related to importation of goods, customs and licensing when necessary.
  • Monitor status of international orders and organizing importation plan in coordination with the Logistics Coordinator and Amsterdam Procurement Unit, follow up on clearance of MSF cargos and prepare all necessary documentation for importation permissions
  • Perform analysis of the local pharmaceutical market / suppliers, update the local purchase database to ensure replenishment from qualified sources, advise the management for negotiations on price reduction, perform regular quantitative analysis to compare international and local procurement costs
  • Assess MSF pharmaceutical warehouses for acceptability within the Russian Federation and Belarus legal framework, obtain necessary licenses and permissions
  • Support the team in representing and defending organization’s interests before the local authorities or local suppliers for any issue concerning supply
  • Ensure and monitor the implementation of logistics/technical activities in the offices in Russia and Belarus including construction, transport of goods and staff, communications, vehicles and engines, equipment/installation and infrastructures, communications, installation and maintenance of functional office space(s) and lodging facilities for international staff in adequate living conditions.
  • Implement all administrative related activities linked to logistics (orders, insurances, vehicle contracts, etc.).
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of the HR associated processes (recruitment, training, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, detection of potential, development and communication, coaching) of the logistics staff in the organization in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required to correctly perform all logistics activities.
  • Regular visits to the projects to support logistics team.
  • Participate in monthly reporting



  • Essential - higher education (technical university degree, degree in logistics)


  • Essential: at least two years of working experience in logistics/supply related activities (experience with medical supply is an advantage)
  • Desirable: previous experience with MSF or other NGOs


  • Essential: fluent English and Russian (written and spoken).


  • Local regulations related to supply, importation, customs

Employment conditions:

  • Salary RUB 136 000 gross
  • Full-time employment, office in the center of Moscow
